COPYRIGHT INFORMATION
Copyright law in relation to photographs is complex and based on the Copyright Act 1968 and subsequent case law.

In relation to the images in the Image Bank copyright is vested with the photograhper but the University is granted an extensive licence or 
right to use images by the copyright owners (photographers) for all the purposes it may require.
			
Acknowledgement
			
In the same way that authors should be acknowledged for their work, photographers should also be acknowledged as the creators of images. 
It is appropriate to do this either by direct attribution alongside the image or somewhere in the published document where other 
acknowledgement or compliance information appears.
